Spring update

There’s lots going on behind the scene that we’re excited to share with you.

Last month we were pleased to host our inaugural beer tastings. Joined by a diverse group of beer drinkers, we sampled our Red Ale and Vienna Lager to gain insights and feedback in the development of the final recipe. As of this week, we’ve finalised our two flagship beers and will be sharing their tasting notes with you soon. Look out for the announcement on our social channels.

Just as exciting, but on a different note, we received assurance from Mark, MVW Construction, that he’ll be pushing hard to start construction this spring! For this to happen, we’ve been working collaboratively with the City of Kawartha Lakes to ensure our precious resource is preserved and protected – namely our Kawartha’s lakes! On the design side, Stephen, our lead engineer at MVW, has been doing a fantastic job orchestrating the transition of our 1800s stone building into our new craft brewery. We’ll pay tribute to the building’s heritage while designing an awesome space for people to gather, to sit a while, and to enjoy a stress-free, quietly amazing experience. The brewery will include a taproom (as our brewmaster will be making exclusive flavours on-premise only) and an event space to go with the flagship Red Ale and Vienna Lager! The intention throughout is to shine a light on the people, the heritage, and the life of the region through our beer and building!

Choosing an engineering and construction company was a major decision on our part and involved many hours of research. In the end, we decided to work with MVW Construction not only for their reputation to quality and detail but also for the fact that Mark shared the same beliefs and values to work with local Kawartha-based businesses in support of our community.

Our estimated opening still remains September and we’ll continue to share our journey with you through our eNewsletter!

Coming next week is the Kawartha Lakes Cottage Living Show, April 27th to 29th at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre. If you have questions or just want to say hello, drop by our booth – sorry no beer available but it’ll be coming soon *wink*. We will, however, be unveiling limited quantities of our Fenelon Falls Brewing Co. merchandise, including t-shirts, hats, and hoodies to share our hometown pride!

Make sure to subscribe to our e-newsletter and check your inbox May 1st as we’ll be releasing some exciting news so you’re not too thirsty this summer.
